Digital Luggage Scale
I didn't have a digital luggage scale with me then, but I sure wish that I would have. It would have saved me a lot of trouble!

There are some items that you can't carry on the place but you can place in your checked luggage. This just ensures that you can't way these items while the flight.
Here is small list of items you can have in your checked luggage but not in your carry-on - box cutters, razors, sabers, scissors, golf clubs, pool cues, ski poles, baseball bats, etc.
Of course, this is not a unblemished list and you should check the airline government regulations to get more information.
So eliminate at least one flying concern with a digital luggage scale. Don't ever worry about those darn fees again!
