Digital Luggage Scale
I didn't have a digital luggage scale with me then, but I sure wish that I would have. It would have saved me a lot of trouble!
I don't fly a whole lot, and I am absolutely a penny-pincher. Simply I was outraged at the price of taking bags on a flight, so I tried to pack as efficiently as I could. It worked great when I was flying out, but it was bad dream on the return flight. Have you ever noticed how much more stuff you have on your return flight?
I put all I could in my bags and foolishly fought to keep a notebook that I had bought. Unfortunately, that book cost me in overweight baggage fees! Stupid, stupid, stupid. If only I would have had one of these portable and covenant baggage weighers, I would have saved money in the long run.
Why risk being expensed for an overweight bag? Just rescue one fee can pay for a baggage scale twice over.
This Taylor #8120 digital weigher is one of the more popular self-acting voyage scales. It has a 1.3" Lcd screen that displays the weight immediately. It can weigh up to 80 pounds of luggage and it weighs only ½ pound itself. All you have to do to weigh your luggage is place the deal with of your baggage on the hook and hold it for a second or two until the Taylor 8120 beeps. Once it beeps, look at the screen for the weight and move on to your next piece.
This baggage weigher is powered by a replaceable lithium battery that will last for years. Citizen that use this Taylor stock are impressed by its accuracy. It regularly gets within ½ pound of the actual weight in merely seconds. If you save just one overcharge fee with this product, it will pay for itself!
Balanzza is the Xerox of digital voyage scales - they are a leader in the industry. And this new Lewis N. Clark Balanzza Ergonomic bag weigher is top of the line. You can get a great grip with this hand-held scale because it is ergonomically designed to fit your hand. It doesn't take but just a second or two.
This voyage scale uses triple-A batteries which you can purchase at just about any store. If you voyage at all, this will be a great time and money saver. General list price is , but you can honestly find this online for half that price.
Here is an additional one Balanzza stock that works wonders and it comes with bonuses. It is the new 3 in 1 portable scale. Now just to get an idea of General baggage restrictions for airlines, I looked at Delta's excess baggage terms. At Delta, you can have no more than 4 checked pieces. There are also size and weight limits on the bags themselves. Delta clearly states that you could honestly be expensed 3 fees for just one bag - a fee for an extra bag, a fee if that extra bag is too big, and an additional one fee if that extra bag is too heavy! I fantasize those baggage fees would be as much as your flight marker in the first place!
Naturally with all of the airline security restrictions, there are many items that you cannot take on an airplane in the first place. These items are generally broken up into checked and carry-on. There are some items that you can't carry on the place but you can place in your checked luggage. This just ensures that you can't way these items while the flight.
Here is small list of items you can have in your checked luggage but not in your carry-on - box cutters, razors, sabers, scissors, golf clubs, pool cues, ski poles, baseball bats, etc.
Of course, this is not a unblemished list and you should check the airline government regulations to get more information.
So eliminate at least one flying concern with a digital luggage scale. Don't ever worry about those darn fees again!
